Triosence: Melodiöse Jazzsongs

This piano trio, whose name, derived from "trio-essence", refers to the equal status of the instruments, has been around for 25 years in various formations. Pianist Bernhard Schüler creates shimmering soundscapes with his music, which he sometimes refers to as "song jazz": singable melodies with song-like structures focussing on melody and songs, which sets this trio apart from other jazz trios.
