How an idea became a tradition

Klosters. Easter. Music that moves you. Since 2016.

How it all began

It all began at the Kulturschuppen. Jazz legends, international stars and young Swiss musicians had already graced its stage. The concerts were good, and the audience was enthusiastic. Yet seats often remained empty.

Christof Hegi, then as now a board member of the Klosters Cultural Society, wanted to change that. His idea was to bring several concerts together into a single festival. This would allow for a more varied programme and perhaps also encourage more people to come to Klosters for a few days. Easter seemed the ideal time for this. There wasn’t much going on in the events calendar at that time of year. The idea was born in 2015, and with it came the fitting slogan: ‘From the days of fasting to the days of playing’.

The idea has since grown into a festival featuring both well-known musicians and up-and-coming talent. The concerts take place at special venues in Klosters, each with a capacity of between 50 and 130 seats. You sit close to the stage, and there’s often a chance to chat with the artists after the concert. That’s precisely what makes the Tastentage so special.

Following the successful 2025 edition, the festival will continue at Easter 2027. The programme will feature 14 concerts, most of which will take place for the first time at the new Kulturhuus Klosters.
